Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure which version was compatible so I just picked the 365 category as a starting point. For Office online, I assume that I would need to be connected to the internet while using it. Unfortunately, there would be many occasions where I would be out in the field without access to wifi. I don't plan on having the mobile computers connected to the internet so I would need to install Excel directly on the unit. Which version would work for that? Thanks

Hello,
I downloaded Office Mobile 2010 and I have been trying to get it to install on the device. I have not had any luck. I have tried downloading from the browser (IE) on the device and have saved the files to the main drive and also the flash drive. There are 2 .cab files, an SP and a PPC version. I have tried to install both but I get an error message about 2 seconds after the install starts that says install unsuccessful. I also have Windows Mobile Device Center installed on my main PC and have tried installing it through that but I get the same error message. Any thoughts? Thank you

I did finally get it to install. I had to call the manufacturer of the handheld device and their IT guy had a version that would work with their device. However, after I got it installed I quickly realized that it was not going to work for me to use Excel on a small handheld. I gave up and purchased a Toughpad with Windows 7. Twice the price but it is working exactly like I need it.
